One important award in literature, the Sait Faik Story Award, has been presented by the Darüşşafaka Society since 1964.  

Conditions of Participation;

• Story books to participate in the competition should be published in 2017.
• Books that will participate in the competition should not have been awarded previously.
• Authors who won the same prize before cannot participate in the competition.
• Authors participating in the competition must send (10) copies of their works, a petition addressed to the General Secretariat of the Darüşşafaka Society (a petition containing the author's contact information and a resume if not included in the book) to the Darüşşafaka Society Corporate Communications Unit, Darüşşafaka Caddesi, No: 5/9 34457 Maslak, Sarıyer-İstanbul by 5 pm on Friday, March 9, 2018.
• The results will be announced in May 2018 after the jury’s assessment.
