A notable conversation protocol was signed between Istanbul Kültür University (IKU) and the Turkish Knitwear Industrialists Association (TRİSAD) with the aim of training the textile experts of the future.

The protocol signing ceremony, attended by Zeytinburnu District Governor Adem Uslu, TRİSAD Chairperson of the Board of Directors Mustafa Balkuv, TRİSAD Board members and TRİSAD Education Officer Murat Tataoğlu, was held on Thursday, June 6, at the Önder Öztunalı Conference Hall in the Ataköy building of the Bakırköy campus.

The 2nd Surveillance Audit of ISO 27001 ISMS (Information Security Management System) has been completed, and the TS ISO/IEC 27001:2013 certificate of the Information Systems and Technologies Department has been renewed.

We would like to thank all our members taking part in the audit process, especially Chief Information Security Officer Barış Dereli.

Istanbul Kültür University (IKU) became a member of the Balkan Universities Association (BAUNAS). The meeting held at Tirana International Hotel was attended by IKU Rector Prof. Dr. Fadime Üney Yüksektepe. With the signed protocol, IKU stands among the member universities of the Balkan Universities Association.

The Balkan Universities Association, consisting of universities in Southeastern Europe, aims to provide solutions to social problems and help facilitate collaborations between universities.

In cooperation with the Faculty of Education and the Istanbul Provincial Directorate of National Education, the "PDR Summit" was held on Monday, May 27. 650 school psychological counselors working under the Istanbul Provincial Directorate of National Education attended the summit, which was held at the Akıngüç Auditorium and Art Center in the Ataköy building of Bakırköy campus. The IKU Vice Rector Prof.  Dr.  Burcu Yavuz Tiftikçigil, IKU Secretary General Ender Rıza Ekici and Prof.  Dr.  Mehmet Toran from the Faculty of Education, paid a visit to IMM Social Services Department.  The IKU officials came together with the Head of Department Enif Yavuz Dipşar and had a meeting about the cooperation opportunities between IKU and the IMM Social Services Department.

Istanbul Kültür University Family Business and Entrepreneurship Application and Research Center (AGMER) organized the “10th Family Business Congress” on 15-16 May 2024 at Akıngüç Auditorium and Art Center in Bakırköy campus Ataköy building.

The opening speeches of the congress were made by Prof. Dr. Mahmut Paksoy, our President of AGMER, Prof. Dr. Fadime Yüksektepe, our Rector, and Mustafa Gültepe, President of the Türkiye Exporters Assembly. 

“The First University-Level Congress on Family Businesses”

Lepidus Ensemble, one of the popular chamber music ensembles, met with art lovers on Monday, May 13, 2024 at 19.00 at the Akıngüç Auditorium and Art Center in our Bakırköy campus Ataköy building. The Lepidus Ensemble concert, which was founded as a string quartet in 2011, featured the repertoire of important composers such as Albioni, Mozart and Bregovic. The artists, who gave classical music lovers an unforgettable night, were sent off with applause.

İKÜ Kültür Noktası tarafından, sosyal sorumluluk ve iş yaşamında kadın çalışmaları konusunda öne çıkan Akademisyen & İlham Veren Kadın Dr. Dilek Kaya İmamoğlu ile toplumsal fayda üzerine söyleşi düzenlendi. Moderatörlüğünü Rektör Yardımcımız Prof. Dr. Burcu Yavuz Tiftikçigil'in üstlendiği etkinliğe, 14 Mayıs Salı günü saat 14.00'te Bakırköy yerleşkesi Ataköy binasındaki Akıngüç Oditoryumu ve Sanat Merkezi ev sahipliği yaptı.

Our Chairperson of the Board of Trustees Dr. Bahar Akıngüç Günver, our Rector Prof. Dr. Fadime Üney Yüksektepe and our Head of Department of Construction and Technical Works Mehmet Yücesan visited Mr. Ekrem İmamoğlu, who was re-elected as the Mayor of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality.
